Many people believe Varuna Darensbourg is a mighty swell artist. A select few however, are privy to the notion that Varuna spends much of his free time drawing Dolphins that look considerably more like sick, ugly horses than they do Dolphins.

Current words of wisdom:

Feedback is necessary, but don’t let it rule you.  Trust what you enjoy & improve upon it.  Study books, study life.  Don’t forget what got you started in the first place.  You can chase admiration from people night and day, but it’s not the only way to fuel your creative drive.  If you focus on what you love and enjoy, then other people will be drawn to your work naturally.

Just had to say how much I have enjoyed your sketches – really inspiring and funny too. I saw your entry into the ImagineFX amazonian cat woman thing and absolutely LOVE it. I love the simplicity.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration

    Hello Varuna!

    My name is also Varuna!

I started following your artworks because of this fact.
I’ve been subscribed to your mailing list for a while.

I’m glad I did, your artwork is really great and unique

I feel encouraged to pursue my own arts 🙂
